First-year Ph.D. Student in Computer and Information Science at Penn

I am a first-year Ph.D. student in CIS at the University of Pennsylvania, advised by Prof. Qi Long. My research focuses on generative and foundation models for single-cell and spatial omics, including cell-centric multimodal learning, cell- and tissue-level world models, and computational pathology.

Life Outside Research

Embroidered minä perhonen textile pattern

minä perhonen

minä perhonen is my favorite brand. I love its imagination and thoughtful craftsmanship, especially the original patterns. “minä” means “I” and “perhonen” means “butterfly”; the name reflects a hope that its clothes help each person express their individuality and live more authentically.

Qingdao coastline and city view

Qingdao

I grew up in Qingdao, a coastal city in China. Living near the ocean shaped many of my habits, and I still love walking by the water and enjoying slower moments outside work.

Lana Del Rey vinyl collection

Lana Del Rey

I love Lana Del Rey's music and have collected many of her vinyl records. I like listening to them when I want something calm, soft, and atmospheric.

A collection of film cameras

Film Photography

I enjoy shooting with film cameras. The process is slower than digital photography, but that slower pace is part of the charm for me.

Climbing at a gym

Rock Climbing

I recently started indoor rock climbing and bouldering. It is a good way to exercise, clear my mind, and spend time away from research.
